Must Luv Dogs Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. We are foster based, which means that all of our pups are housed in individual homes, thus, avoiding the overcrowded shelter. Since we rescue the dumped, discarded, abused & neglected pups in our area. Many of them are injured, sometimes both physically & mentally. We provide full medical attention, update all of their vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip them. We LUV them back to health and then we find furever homes using our due diligence adoption procedures.

History and mission

In 2012, our Founder/Director, Cindy Nettles Shotwell, started the local lost pets page to help reunite pets with their owners. She soon realized the staggering number of dumped & discarded dogs in her area. Knowing that a large part of the area has no public animal resources or shelters, she founded Must Luv Dogs Rescue in 2018. She gathered some like minded friends to help & they held their very first adoption event.

The mission statement of MLDR is: “Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Who we are

As often said, it truly does take a village! With the support of our community, we have saved the lives of OVER 600+ dogs since 2018. In addition, we continue to reunite hundreds of lost pets with their families each year through our lost pets FB page. We have thousands of dedicated followers on social media and many volunteers, fosters and donors.
