Thank you all so much for your kind, comforting messages, calls, texts, thoughts & prayers in the loss of my beautiful mother, Geraldine "Jerry" Nettles this week. As horrible as Alzheimer's is, I suppose we are never ready to let them go. Momma used to say "Nobody loves you like your momma does." and that is so true. Please continue to remember my family and especially my sweet daddy. They'd been married for 62 years this year. We will be rescheduling our next adoption event with the @zachary_farmers_market soon. Meet the "twisted sisters!".. Scarlett & Ruby Jane are 5 month old Irish Wolfhound mixes. They were dumped together on a public highway in a rural area. Initially they had blistered paws, lots of cuts and contusions but thanks to our newest vet partner, Dr. Lisa Brabham at East Feliciana Animal Clinic, they are healed up and ready to find their furever families. While these sisters are understandably somewhat bonded, we feel as though they will be fine if they have to be adopted separately. They both love playing outside and are extremely friendly to humans and other pups alike! they are striking to look at and have a very unusual look, including beautiful hazel eyes. Our adoption fees for pups under 6 mons is $175, which includes all up-to-date vaccines through date of adoption, spay/neuter, and microchip. Hallie is an 18 month old shepherd/treeing Walker coonhound mix. She is a super sweet and happy pup. She loves being outside watching for squirrels. She has lots of energy but also loves to snuggle with her humans on the sofa. She will make a wonderful family pet and is looking for a place she can finally call home. Gypsy is a 6 month old red heeler mix. She weighs 33 pounds and is super sweet. She loves her humans and plays well with other pups. She loves to play chase go on walks. She does great on a leash. She enjoys riding in a car and running errands. Heelers are a working breed and they are happiest when they have a "job". Gypsy needs plenty of space to run around and also a person to cuddle with. She's super smart and is a fast learner. Adoption fee is $150 and covers up-to-date vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip.
